I followed all the given steps but I have few problems.
1. I do not know where to find visio and project as yo say it is important to run them and exit.
2. when I install provided activator, it installs 3-4 softwares like, my pc backup, automatic cleaner and so on.. but where is the activator?
I am so lost

Dear Pirate, I am using Win 8.1 pro 64 bit. I tried installing this but the installation bar is hung for hours. Not progressing after 70%. I tried running in compatibility mode too. Can you help me.

Installed office 2016 BUT few gotchas as follows:
1 – the installation could not be completed – the progress bar hung for hours after 85% (approx) finishing – I am still not sure whether to abort the installation or not (prior to this, I made 4 efforts to install it – disabled antivirus as well since it was taking huge time )
2- even though the installation is still to finish, I could open documents (word/ppt e.t.c) – but I was forced to accept to allow updates to the software
3- I could successfully activate using the activator – but why does it say “Renewal interval – 30 d 0h 0min” in the installation logs?
PLEASE EXPLAIN THE ABOVE PROBLEMS……….
(I am yet clueless as to what will happen if I abort the installation – which is still hung as I am writing)
run setup in compatibility mode (windows 8)
